Cooperation between ITS and Seneca

On May 20th, 2010 a Memorandum of Intent (MoI) between Institute Teknologi 10 November Surabaya (ITS) and Seneca College has been signed at Seneca College, Toronto. In this signing ceremony, ITS was represented by Prof. Drs. Ec. Ir. Riyanarto, MSc., PhD meanwhile Seneca College was represented by Mohammed Ali Khan, Vice President of International & Business Development. Also present at the signing as witnesses were David Agnew, Seneca College President, and Harlan Hakim of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia on behalf of Consul General.

 

The agreement in this MoI covers as follows: exchange of faculty programs, staffs and students: development of mutual research program; improvement curriculum and teaching items, and developing professionalism through training and practicing. This agreement will valid for three years, from the date of signing and can be renewed under approval of each party.

 

Seneca College is the largest college in Canada in term of international students. Around 3000 foreign students have been studying at Seneca College. Most of them come from China, India, Korea, and Russia. Around 30 Indonesian students are also studying in this college, the same amount to those came from Saudi Arabia, Vietnam and several European countries.

Denpasar, Bali - Bali has won "The Best Leisure Destination in Asia Pacific" award from the Business Travellers Asia Pacific magazine based in Hong Kong, a tourism official said. The award would be presented to the Bali provincial government at Contrad Hotel in Hong Kong on September 10, Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office Ida Bagus Subhiksu said here on Monday.

DEWA RUCI WINS BEST CREW PARADE IN TALL SHIP RACE Hartlepool, UK - Indonesia`s naval training ship KRI Dewa Ruci and its crew won the title of The Best Crew Parade in the carnival in Hartlepool, about five hours travel from London. Taking part in the carnival on weekend were 85 tall ships, in which Dewa Ruci held various Indonesian cultural and art performances including the Reok Ponorogo masked dance, which had entertained people at Hartlepool, northeast of of County Durham, which has a population of 90,000.
